4th Of July Drone Show Sets World Record With Over 1,000 Flying Light Displays

Recently, LED drones have emerged as an eco-friendly, smoke-free alternative to the traditional fireworks set off on Independence Day. And this year, Sky Elements Drone Shows achieved a Guinness World Record for its special show on the 4th of July in Dallas, Texas.

In one of the 40 shows set up during the holiday weekend, the company successfully equipped 1,002 flying drones with LED lights during the 10-minute exhibition—setting the record for the largest aerial sentence formed by multi-rotor drones.

The stunning display featured choreographed movements depicting iconic images associated with the country’s culture, such as man’s first step on the moon, an eagle carrying the American flag, and even a trio of fighter jets.

“This Fourth of July, history was made. Sky Elements Drone Shows achieve the Guinness World Records title for the largest aerial sentence formed by multi-rotor/drones,” the company wrote on its Facebook page.

“1,002 drones armed with bright LED lights took flight and dazzled the crowd with a show paying tribute to the history of the United States,” the statement added.
