Nothing might be worse than a streaker hightailing it across a court or pitch and ruining a good game. It disrupts the players and the fans who paid good money to be there. Of course, running around naked is a surefire way to get the attention of, well, everyone.
Puma and fashion brand Noah are flipping the narrative and stepping into a world where being nude is the norm, and wearing a pretty fly outfit will have people staring at you like you’re crazy.
That’s exactly what is happening in a new campaign spot for the brands by Chandelier Creative and directed by Brian Billow. The Winning Streak takes place during a tennis match that looks like it was set in the 70s or 80s, where everyone, players, audience, and even security are in the nude. During a heated moment in the match, a man, decked out in Puma and Noah’s latest line of clothes, comes running onto the court and disrupts the game. Angry fans start shouting at the man as security tries to chase him around the stadium.
The bizarre choice to turn the world as we know it on its head is explained in Highsnobiety by Noah’s co-founder Brendon Babenzien, who states that choosing clothes should be fun. And from the campaign, it calls folks to be daring, live life on the edge, and savor the thrill of chaos through fashion. Though, you should probably keep your clothes on at the next sports event you go to. But hey, deck yourself in the most outrageous outfit if you want to!
Within the collection is a range of retro-inspired pieces, including a terrycloth vest, a reversible pink stripe sweater, caps with the brands’ logos, and a re-issue of the Puma Wimbledon. This pair of sneakers was released in the 1970s and is inspired by court fashion.
The lineup is now available online, and you can watch the whole campaign spot below.
