‘NBA Jam’ Makes A Comeback For Its 30th Anniversary As A Home Arcade Machine

NBA Jam first debuted in 1993 by Midway Games (the studio behind Pac-Man and Mortal Kombat) as an arcade game and was the first in a series of titles for fans of the professional basketball league.
 
In celebration of its 30th anniversary, Arcade1Up is recreating the old arcade game and turning it into a cabinet you can set up in your own home. Its latest addition includes two different NBA Jam consoles.

First, we have the NBA Jam 30th Anniversary Deluxe cabinet, which stands exactly five feet tall and has a 17-inch color screen, dual speakers, and a four-player control panel. In this version, you and three other friends can play alongside or against some of the true MVPs in the sport, including Shaquille O’Neal, Hakeem Olajuwon, Isaiah Thomas, Karl Malone, John Stockton, and David Robinson. 
 
The NBA Jam Partycade is a smaller and portable version of the arcade game that fans can take to play on the go, mounted on a wall, or hung on a door.

Fans will be treated to some throwback NBA Jam gameplay and will have access to three titles: NBA Jam, NBA Jam Tournament Edition, and NBA Jam Hang Time. And like other consoles from Arcade1Up, they both can be connected to WiFi so that you can shoot out against other players online.
 
The NBA Jam 30th Anniversary Deluxe is now up for pre-ordering for US$699.99, and the Partycade will retail at select Costcos later this year.
