Take To The Roads In This Human-Sized Version Of Remote-Controlled Toy Cars

What would it be like to have your toy RC car come to life so you can drive it around? Wonder no longer, as The Little Car Company is turning little kids’ dreams into a reality by transforming the Tamiya Wild One RC toy car from the 80s into a real-life vehicle.
 
The British-based company has its roots in shrinking classic vehicles into miniature sizes that you can park on your desk or shelf. It usually doesn’t engage in transformations in the opposite direction. Nevertheless, it is still cool that someone has turned a popular toy car into something you can now speed down the roads with.

The Wild One Max, for all intents and purposes, really does have a toy-like quality to it, and with its windowless form factor and oversized wheels, it might be a little hard to see it as a practical option for hauling around groceries, kids, or even getting to work. But is it cool? Yes, yes, it is. It also stays true to its origins with exact replicas of decals and details around the car.
 
This fully electric vehicle will be road-safe (in Europe only, sorry American readers), and comes with eight swappable battery packs with a distance range of 124 miles. At its fastest, it can speed up to 62 mph, which might not be the ultimate speedster, but as a quadricycle, it will surely fulfill your childhood dreams.

Those in Europe looking to purchase it can also opt for a Road Pack with a windscreen, wipers, mirrors, mudguards, and lights.
 
The Wild One Max will debut next weekend at the Goodwood Festival of Speed in Sussex, England, an event where manufacturers can come together to unleash their wildest concept cars. After which, it can be purchased for US$45,000.
