Twitter has unveiled its ad-revenue sharing program for creators who have amassed large audiences and contribute to the platform by attracting eyeballs. Importantly, users can now earn revenue via brand promotions that appear in the reply threads of their posts.
Launching this program is a new step in Twitter’s ongoing efforts to support creators in earning a living directly through the platform. To qualify for revenue-sharing, they must be Twitter Blue or Verified Organizations subscribers and have amassed at least five million post impressions in each of the last three months. Additionally, they will be reviewed by a human team and must adhere to Twitter’s Creator Subscriptions policies.

Payment for eligible users will be facilitated through a Stripe account, with an application process set to be introduced shortly. This will include work produced from February onward to ensure that users are also being paid for past contributions.
By implementing this ad-revenue sharing program, Twitter aims to enhance its appeal to content creators, especially when rival apps such as Threads are seeing exponential growth within its first month of use.
