Dozed through your alarm and only have a minute to set up your computer for a remote work meeting? Now, you can look all freshened up in a single click on Microsoft Teams.
Teaming up with Maybelline New York, Microsoft has introduced a series of digital makeup looks that enable users to snap into their personal style in an instant and feel more empowered for their tasks of the day.
The Maybelline Beauty app in Microsoft Teams isn’t just a “hack” for beauty sleep, but it’s essentially a “virtual makeup bag” to help you express yourself at work while inviting you to experiment with looks you might not have generally gone with, says the cosmetics brand.
From here, you’ll be presented with 12 unique looks, which you can adjust to your preferences by selecting various digital makeup swatches and blur effects.

Need a red lippy for a pop of confidence? It’s just a click away.
Users can then preview the accomplished styles before taking them to their conferences.
The program was developed with the Geena Davis Institute, a research organization advocating for gender representation in media; and is powered by Modiface, an augmented-reality technology exclusive to Maybelline parent L’Oreal. The app maps out 70 points of the face to precisely apply filters and track movement.
To dip into this “virtual makeup bag,” you’ll have to already be inside a meeting. Then, click on ‘Video Effects’ and ‘More Video Effects’, where you’ll find the Maybelline label.
“Whether you are working in-person or virtually, feeling good about yourself can help put your best foot forward,” explains Trisha Ayyagari, global brand president of Maybelline New York. “That’s why we partnered with Microsoft Teams to develop virtual makeup looks. Now, even on the busiest day, you can put makeup on with just a click. We hope we make people’s lives a little easier.”
The Maybelline Beauty app has begun rolling out to Teams’ enterprise users, and will be usable by customers around the world.
