Twitter Could Soon Allow Users To Publish Full Articles, Books On Its Platform
In hopes of battling the fast-rising Threads, Twitter has announced it’s currently working on a tool that would allow users to publish full-length mixed-media posts that would far surpass its standard 280-character word limit.
Dubbed Articles, the feature was revealed by Elon Musk in response to a tweet by Taiwanese journalist Fausto Chou, who was the first to note that the Notes function had been recently updated to a new name.

Should this feature come to Twitter, it could revolutionize how writers publish blog posts or even books. Though, as of now, only verified users who subscribe to the platform’s monthly service are allowed to tweet up to 10,000 characters.
In terms of mixed-media integration, Article publishers will be able to embed pictures, GIFs, and videos, make use of rich formatting, and even include other tweets within the single post.
Would the Articles tool only be made available to paid users? Possibly. Just like regular tweets, Articles will be able to be shared directly to one’s feed so that they can be shared, retweeted, and bookmarked by others on the site.
