Harley-Davidson Revs Up 120th Anniversary With Motorcycles Embodying Past Models

Harley-Davidson has a rich history dating back to 1903, when William S. Harley and Arthur Davidson founded the company in Milwaukee, Wisconsin. The first Harley-Davidson motorcycle was a small, single-cylinder machine with a modest three-horsepower. 120 years later, Harley-Davidson is celebrating its anniversary with its new Anniversary Collection.

One notable addition is the introduction of the Electra Glide Highway King. The bike combines the classic stylings of the 1968 FLH Electra Glide, which it is based on, with modern comfort and performance features.

The Electra Glide Highway King is equipped with a powerful Milwaukee-Eight 114 Engine and a Harley-Davidson V-Twin engine, known for its distinctive sound. Safety is a priority, with features like Cronering-Electronically Linked brakes, Cornering-ABS, Cornering-Traction Control, Drag Torque Slip Control, and Vehicle Hold Control (VHC) enhancing a safe journey out on the roads.

The bike is offered in two color options for the anniversary: HiFi Orange (limited to 1,000 units) and HiFi Magenta (limited to 750 units). Additionally, it features hard-shell saddlebags in Birch and Black Denim, with Icons Motorcycle Collection graphics on the console insert.

Other new models introduced in the line include the Sportster S, NigthsterTM, Street Glide Special, Street Glide ST, Fat Boy 114, Road King Special, Road Glide Special, Road Glide ST, Road Glide Limited, Ultra Limited, and the Pan America TM 1250 Special.

The new bikes in the range showcase the ‘Special 120th Anniversary Paint’, drawing inspiration from early Harley-Davidson colors like Bright Billiard Blue, Redline Red, White Sand Pearl, Industrial Yellow, Vivid Black, and Gray Haze.
