Studio Ghibli Bottles Up Three Of Its Movies Into Perfumes

Studio Ghibli movies’ wonderfully vibrant and cinematic worlds have often left fans wanting to take a step into them and experience the magic firsthand. Unfortunately, physically stepping into a show is not yet available, so for now, you might just have to settle on the scents of the films instead.
 
Under the studio’s official merchandising store, Donguri Kyowakoku, a trio of body sprays has emerged that will have you smelling like different characters. Each takes after various heroines from the films and captures their story and personality through scent, with the help of the fragrance brand Fernanda.

The first is a spray dedicated to Kiki’s Delivery Service, called Maria Regale. Here, fans are met with subtle white floral notes that bring Kiki’s home and all her medicinal herbs to mind. This variation comprises jasmine, Lily of the Valley, and pear. You’ll find Kiki sitting on the bottle with a book on her lap as she ponders life.
 
Following that is a Whispers of the Heart fragrance that appeals to tea lovers. Named Classic Tea, it comprises black tea, amber, and yuzu. This time, Shizuku and Baron are seen traipsing through the sky on the bottle.

Lastly, White Bouquet is a floral take on the fields and nature seen in Howl’s Moving Castle. Lily, Rose, and Cedarwood are mixed to evoke the same nuances and magical feeling of seeing Howl and Sophie embark on their journey together.
 
Fans can find the scents on the Donguri Kyowkoku site, where each retail for 2,200 yen (US$15.50).
