LEGO’s ‘Amazing Spider-Man’ Set Spies Spidey Stepping Out Of His Frame
LEGO is swinging into the Spider-Verse with its latest addition to the LEGO Art universe, and this time, it’s a web-slinging adventure with The Amazing Spider-Man.
This creation draws inspiration from the colorful and graphic style of Spider-Man comics. It’s a web-tastic moment as Spider-Man takes his first steps into the LEGO Art world, which has previously focused on famous artworks and other 2D renditions of fictional characters.
But this time, it’s all about Spidey as he appears to crawl straight out of his own universe and into our own.
LEGO also puts a little power into the hands of creators as you can even maneuver his head and fingers to fit any position you would like. Behind the character, a playful pop of green nods to the classic Ben-Day-dot printing technique, creating a true comic book vibe. There are also 15 LEGO spiders scattered around the web-slinger, a reference to Spider-Man’s debut in Amazing Fantasy #15 back in 1962.
And what’s a Spidey adventure without some comic book nostalgia? You’ll find a stylized The Amazing-Spider Man tile in the bottom corner, featuring the iconic quote, “With great power, there must also come great responsibility.”
To make this experience even more epic, as you construct the set, you can scan a QR code that leads you to a unique soundtrack, exclusively crafted to enhance the building experience. LEGO previously did the same with its Great Wave off Kanagawa model.
