Since launching in 2017, the Nintendo Switch has surpassed over a billion sales in games, as announced in Nintendo’s latest earnings report. With that, the company deemed this the perfect time to reveal its top-selling titles for the handheld console of all time.
As of June 30, Mario Kart 8 Deluxe continues to claim its spot as the most popular Switch game, raking in over 55 million purchases since its release in April 2017.
Notably, the list includes remastered games hailing from the far less successful Wii U, including the aforementioned leading title. Another enhanced game that has made it here is New Super Mario Bros. U Deluxe, which takes up the 10th spot.
The ranking also consists of pandemic escape Animal Crossing: New Horizons, Super Smash Bros. Ultimate, The Legend of Zelda: Breath of the Wild, Super Mario Odyssey, Pokémon Sword and Pokémon Shield, Pokémon Scarlet and Pokémon Violet, Super Mario Party, and The Legend of Zelda: Tears of the Kingdom.
