Capturing the plights of being a woman, shaving brand Billie has devised a virtually unwinnable board game called No Worries If Not! to showcase how never-ending the trials and tribulations of being a female can sometimes feel.
The satirical game weaves players through obstacles such as ‘Self-Doubt Spiral’ and ‘Judgement Junction’. It also highlights different internal issues women face, such as being chronic apologizers or people pleasers because that’s what society often has women believing they have to be. Players can also choose from different tokens such as ‘desk salad’, ‘biological clock’, or ‘eternal youth’.
“Want to be a mom? Ew, compliance! Don’t want to be a mom? Ew, selfish!” This basically sums up how women can never win with whatever they choose to do with their lives.
It’s all too relatable and a little existential at times, but it also gives players a chance to really step back and see how systemic and internalized some of these issues are.
