KitKat Urges You To Have A Break… From Tech Frustrations
Tired of a slow internet connection, constantly being asked to update your software, and irritating security questions? Why not take a break and have a KitKat, is what Nestlé is asking in its latest campaign.
A new advertisement is taking a stance against everyday technology frustrations, prompting people to instead step back and munch on chocolate to relieve stress.
The video starts with a knight trying to get past a guard at a drawbridge, but she has to answer several questions before she can pass.
“Password? Have you forgotten? What was your first pet’s middle name? What’s your favorite kind of rock?” After eating a KitKat, the answer seems to come back to the knight, and she’s let back in.
As it turns out, if you “Have a Break, Have a KitKat,” you might just be able to overcome any modern (and medieval) challenge.
The point of the campaign underscores the importance of pausing in a fast-paced world heavily reliant on technology. The campaign emphasizes that taking a break is not only a luxury but, sometimes, much needed.
Scheduled to run until November 2023, the campaign is set to be showcased across a diverse range of platforms, from traditional television to digital media such as Meta, TikTok, and YouTube.
