Crocs and Pop-Tarts are tasting a sweet kind of teamwork that is rarely seen in fashion and food mashups. Coming in piping-hot are Pop-Tarts Croc-Tarts, which satisfy both sides of the coin.
To put it simply, you get Crocs for your Pop-Tarts and Pop-Tarts for your Crocs. On the footwear end, for one, you’ll be served a pair of pale classic clogs, accidentally reminiscent of untoasted plain Pop-Tarts. You can flavor them visually by topping the shoes with Jibbitz charms shaped like tiny strawberry and wildberry pastries, the iconic foil packaging, the Pop-Tarts logo, and the ‘Crazy Good’ tagline. Give them another pop of color with the accompanying red socks.
Then, the yummy part. The same pack gives you actual, unfrosted strawberry Pop-Tarts that you decorate with “edible” Crocs-shaped Jibbitz, which are really berry-flavored gummies. To adhere the charms onto the crusty upper, the set comes with edible glue—so you won’t have to complain about being so hungry, you could eat a shoe.
The reason for this mutual tie-in is simple yet absurd: Crocs and Pop-Tarts both have holes, and in their bare forms, they kind of resemble one another.

“When thinking about bringing these two iconic and beloved brands together, we couldn’t help but notice the uncanny similarity of the Crocs shoes and Unfrosted Pop-Tarts,” remarks Heidi Ray, Pop-Tarts’ senior director of marketing. Well, as they say, if the shoe fits…
Unfortunately, the Pop-Tarts Croc-Tarts aren’t as accessible as your everyday toaster strudels. To score these, you’ll have to enter a draw, and only after being selected will you be able to purchase them for US$70. While the first drop has passed, you may still dash for a slice on August 11, 16, and 18 after entering your name on croc-tarts.com.
