A plate of hot mac and cheese will always look good, freshly baked from an oven or with a side of ribs… or on your feet?
Fashion and snack foods once again converge as Cheetos partners with Project Runway designer Coral Castillo to introduce a limited-edition series of ‘MAC’ramé’ high-top sneakers and fanny packs, all drenched in vibrant shades of orange, red, and green.
Each hue in this colorful spectrum aligns with a distinct flavor of Cheetos Mac ’n Cheese, with the trio representing Bold & Cheesy, Cheesy Jalapeño, and the iconic Flamin’ Hot.
“Being in fashion requires you to be bold and break the rules a little, so it was refreshing to work with a brand like Cheetos Mac ’n Cheese that embraces that,” Castillo said.
The collaboration dishes up two distinct accessories: the ‘Mac-Tops’ sneakers and the ‘Fanny Mac’ fanny pack. The former showcases a distinctive cheetah print insole and tongue, accompanied by the Cheetos logo and noodle shapes on the outsoles. The Fanny Mac fanny pack, designed to be versatile as a crossbody or belt bag, incorporates a rotini-shaped zipper pull and features the same cheetah print lining.
These thick knits cleverly mimic the swirling forms of Cheetos Mac ’n Cheese noodles while capturing the texture of corn puffs.
Of course, the fanny pack is tailored to hold a box of Cheetos Mac ’n Cheese, just in case it’s as important as your keys and wallet when you leave the house.
A sweepstakes is underway for fans to score some of these cheesy accessories, with 30 customers for the Mac-Tops and 15 for the Fanny Mac.
