Canon Creates 180° ‘Meow-ditation’ To Save Cat-astrophic Days With Kitties

If a cat-nap isn’t enough to ease your worries today, purr-haps Canon’s latest solution that’s not a camera will do the trick.
The imaging company has uncharacteristically released a Meow-ditation exercise that virtually surrounds you with kittens. By the end of it, you should curl up into a little ball of fur.
It’s a 180° virtual-reality experience, but you won’t need special gear to cozy up. The video, produced by cat photographer Andrew Marttila and VR creators Keeley Turner and Hugh Hou, can be viewed from your smartphone, and you can take in the kitties’ little world simply by moving your device left and right.

As the fluffy stars play with toys and run around their houses, a calming voice encourages the viewer to tap into the “beautiful scratching post of existence.”
She adds: “The world is your plaything. Don’t be afraid to get up close and explore all it has to offer.”

The seven-minute film, shot using Canon’s RF5.2 mm F2.8 L Dual Fisheye Lens and EOS R5 C, isn’t all fluff. It showcases the abilities and user-friendliness of the brand’s VR Creator Kit, which was what Marttila used to make the video.
The adorable felines are rescues residing at the Orphan Kitten Club, which is hoping to put these critters up for adoption, as well.
Audiences are asked to return anytime they “feel like life has become a stressful game of cat and mouse.”
