Embarking on a fitness journey can sometimes feel like diving into uncharted waters. Balancing the intricacies of macros and micros, deciphering a maze of exercise modalities, and juggling cardio and strength training can be just as overwhelming for seasoned athletes as for newcomers.

Enter ‘FitMe’, an intelligent, personalized AI trainer you can use at home. Imagine a compact device on your desk equipped to provide intricate full-body scans. It can monitor fat loss, endurance, muscle growth, and overall vitality.

With a high-definition RGB camera, stereo sensor, and IR dot projector, FitMe can comprehensively understand your body. It’s meant to be a much more efficient way to get scanned rather than traveling to get DEXA scans. It also claims to be more efficient than watching your weight on the scale or through tape measuring yourself.

Once your physique is captured, FitMe conjures 3D images of “900,000+ depth points with a striking 98% accuracy.”

The data will be sent to an app on your phone, where you can see different metrics. You can also add various goals, workout plans, and dietary needs. The AI integration bridges the gap between where you stand and where you aspire to tread.

Taking body scans might sound like something only professional athletes or bodybuilders do, but the device seems simple enough for beginners to operate.

FitMe is a Kickstarter project that surpassed its funding goal by 1,500% at the time of writing. It is going for US$359, inclusive of a year’s worth access to the AI trainer.
