Microsoft Unveils First Custom Wraps For Xbox Series X Console
Microsoft is gearing up to introduce a range of custom covers for its Xbox Series X console. The Xbox Series X Console Wraps come in three styles, including one inspired by the highly-anticipated game Starfield and two camouflage options.
These skins offer a wallet-friendly and eco-conscious alternative to purchasing special or limited-edition consoles.
While the option to buy covers and skins from third-party vendors has been around for a while now, Microsoft states that its in-house versions are “custom and precision fit.” These wraps snugly fit the Xbox Series X while keeping all functionalities, including access to cooling vents, intact.
They’re crafted using solid core panels layered with high-tech fabric finishes and fastened securely with a hook and loop enclosure. To ensure they stay in place, “silicone designs” grace the interior.
Gamers can look forward to the Starfield-themed cover, mirroring an avionics module, available on October 18 for US$49.99. The Arctic and Mineral Camouflage-themed covers will follow on November 10, priced at US$44.99. Pre-orders for all three variants are open now.
