Remember that viral meme from last year? You know, the one where a Yankees fan poked a hole through a hot dog and stuck it into his beer to drink from? Well, Oscar Mayer certainly hasn’t forgotten.
The decidedly wacky moment was caught on camera by @NewYorkNico, who asked, “WTF is going on at baseball games this year?” in his Instagram post. And while no one has come up with a solid reason as to why this fan decided the best way to drink his beer was through his hot dog, Oscar Mayer wants you to try it out for yourself.

In a nod to the meme that has left countless truly confused, Oscar Mayer is unleashing its own ‘Hot Dog Straw’. Worry not. Unlike the guy in the video, this isn’t an actual piece of meat for you to sip your lager on. It’s a silicone straw that mimics the appearance of a cooked Oscar Mayer dog, right down to its size and color. And to really sell the experience, it even comes packaged like one of the brand’s multipacks.
The only difference is that the straw, crafted with advertising agency Johannes Leonardo, has a hole running through it so you can slurp up your beverage, just in case a regular straw is not cutting it anymore.
