Enthralling Xbox & Switch Controllers Tell A Story With Dioramas Built Into Them

Do you love getting lost into the worlds of your favorite video games? Well, you can now take it to the next level by putting these realms in your hands, literally.
Gaming accessories maker PDP has introduced a new line of licensed controllers and headsets called Realmz—and like their name suggests, they capture scenes of beloved titles in an immersive way. The gear, designed for the Xbox and Nintendo Switch, features backdrops of video games, with 3D figures housed inside a sleek transparent compartment.

The storytelling component gets further illuminated with built-in LEDs in the A, B, X, and Y buttons.
For now, players can go fast with action-packed landscapes of Sonic the Hedgehog in their hands. Moving forward, though, PDP intends to roll out multi-layered controllers inspired by the scenes of other prominent titles like Transformers and Pikmin 4.

With the Sonic the Hedgehog Nintendo Switch Realmz controller, the handheld piece pits matching blue and red joysticks and action buttons against the lush Green Hill Zone.

Those who wish to take the lore further will be glad to know that there’ll be a wired headset of the same theme arriving for the Switch.

Sonic’s friends, Tails and Knuckles, have also been transported into the physical world with their own Switch controllers re-enacting the Seaside Hill and Sky Sanctuary zones respectively.

The Xbox rendition pictures the protagonist amid the blue, gray, and white imagery of the Speed Realmz.

Arriving in the winter are Pikmin 4-themed controllers, teased in the images below. Meanwhile, an Optimus Prime-inspired version will leap even closer on October 13.

The Sonic the Hedgehog Realmz controllers can now be pre-ordered on Amazon, with the wired variants going for US$40 and the wireless versions going for US$60.
