Five-In-One Bottle Allows You To Sip On Purified Water Amid Nature’s Beauty
Norwegian startup Vitaloop has recently introduced the ‘Defender’ bottle, a five-in-one filtration system that you get hydrated with pure water while relishing in the great outdoors.
This bottle relies on a five-part filtration setup at its core, incorporating a mesh filter, a hollow-fiber micro-filter, a halogen-based purifier, an activated carbon filter, and a graphene filter. Together, these components ensure thorough purification, even down to virus size.
The Defender has a battery-powered pump, and in a mere 45 seconds, it processes water through the system, ensuring that it is safe for drinking. The inner bladder inside the bottle keeps unpurified water separate from the clean supply, preventing cross-contamination.
For those on the go, it comes with an integrated USB-C-rechargeable battery. This power source can handle up to 100 filtration cycles per charge, providing ample hydration for multiple days, even in remote locations. The Defender is also designed to last, with an estimated life of 200 liters (53 gallons), ensuring a durable and sustainable water purification solution.
In terms of practicality, the Defender weighs 17.3 ounces and measures 10.4 x 3 inches, making it easy to carry on outdoor adventures.
A second model called the ‘Outdoor’ purifies water but does not get rid of viruses.
Vitaloop plans to launch an Indiegogo campaign for the Defender and a companion model called the Outdoor. During the campaign, early-bird discounts will be available, with expected retail prices of US$160 for the Defender and US$150 for the Outdoor.
