Samsung x Thom Browne Unveil Special Galaxy Z Fold5 & Watch For Taking To A Gala

Samsung reckons it has the perfect accessory to take with you to a black-tie event.

Dressed to the nines, the Galaxy Z Fold5 Thom Browne Edition—part of an ongoing friendship between New York fashion designer Thom Browne and the South Korean tech giant—richly weaves his sartorial sense into Samsung’s foldable tech.

Evoking the grandeur of a black-tie event, the smartphone features black pebble leather, grosgrain details, and iconic red, white, and blue stripes. Meanwhile, its exterior is adorned with fabric-textured glass, a black frame, gold hinges, and gold accents around the camera lenses.

“Mobile technology is expected to provide more than just function—it’s an extension of our lifestyles,” says Stephanie Choi, EVP and head of marketing of mobile eXperience business at Samsung Electronics. “Our longstanding work with Thom Browne is rooted in a shared commitment to pair iconic style with advanced innovation and this collection is no exception.”

The dapper device arrives with two elegant leather pouch cases and a special-edition S Pen. The packaging, too, receives the Thom Browne treatment, taking after the brand’s iconic briefcase to elevate the unboxing experience.

“Once again, we want to show that a perfect blend of top quality, innovative design and a classic aesthetic can become a powerful form of self-expression,” Browne shares in a statement. “I believe this Galaxy Z Fold5 Thom Browne Edition is the ultimate example of turning advanced technology into a bold statement.”

The latest lineup incorporates a Thom Browne edition Galaxy Watch6, which sports a gold-tone body, the label’s branding, and signature colors on the straps, charger, and cable. The same palette of red, white, and blue is swathed on the accompanying 25W travel adapter, fabric USB-C cable, and coin-style watch charger.

The duo first got together in 2020 with the Galaxy Z Flip Thom Browne Edition. Since then, they’ve released several stylish foldables and wearables together, says Samsung.

Limited quantities of the Galaxy Z Fold5 and Galaxy Watch6 Thom Browne Edition will be available starting September 12 in select markets via Samsung’s website.
