Birkenstock Debuts New Clogs Inspired By A UNESCO-Certified Swiss Village
Last month, Birkenstock introduced a leather-wrapped iteration of its famed sandals to its lineup, allowing customers to opt for a glossier look as opposed to the usual exposed cork footbeds the brand is known for.
Now, as the weather cools in parts of the world, the footwear label is releasing another addition—the Lutry clog, named after the UNESCO-certified village in Vaud, Switzerland.
Merging the suede and nubuck leather upper of the Zermatt slip-on with a heel strap seen on the Tokio and Milano models, the comfy shoe promises both style and function.
The highlight, no doubt, is the convertible strap that can be worn at the back for added security or rotated to the front, much like with Crocs.
In addition, the shoe’s grippy rubber cork sole comes complete with Birkenstock’s original contoured footbed for extra comfort, while stitched suede adds a touch of sophistication.
