Diptyque Launches Its First-Ever Refillable Candle For More Sustainable Scents
For lovers of luxury candles, Diptyque has been one of the go-to brands in the market for the past six decades. Now, fans can enjoy sweet-smelling scents while being more sustainable, as the label recently launched its first-ever refillable collection.
Dubbed Les Mondes de Diptyque (The Worlds of Diptyque), the five-piece capsule was created by designed glassware maestro Cristina Celestino in collaboration with the French perfumer Olivia Giacobetti.
In terms of aesthetics, the design of these refillable pods doesn’t deviate too much from the fragrance maker’s elevated aesthetic. The candle comes in the signature oval-shaped design, this time in colored glass stacked in three tiers.
Additionally, each item will have an engraved glass lid to protect the newly formulated wax, allowing homeowners to replace it with a fresh block once it’s been used up.
Fans can choose from Nymphée Merveilles—a scent embodying the stroll in an enchanted garden in the form of orange blossom, jasmine, and iris; or La Forêt Rêve, reminiscent of a tropical labyrinth through notes of ylang-ylang, jasmine, and vanilla.
Then there’s La Vallée du Temps, carrying the fragrance of craft workshops amid plantations in China via a mix of maté, jasmine, and white tea; while Temple des Mousses offers the serenity of a zen garden with tree moss, matcha, and cedar essence.
Last but not least, Terres Blondes is an homage to the great American West by merging the smells of red cedar, wheat bran, and burnt earth. Each candle retails at US$285, with the refill priced at US$123. Head here for more details.
