Hasbro & Babybel Dish Up A Cheesy Version Of ‘Candy Land’
Since its inception in 1949, Candy Land has been a beloved board game for children. Crafted by Eleanor Abbott during her recovery from polio, its charm lies in its straightforward and entirely random gameplay.
Hasbro, the current publisher of Candy Land, has joined forces with the snack brand Babybel to introduce a unique rendition of this timeless classic: Babybel Goodness Land.
In this playful (and cheesy) adaptation, Babybel takes center stage as the game’s setting shifts to the whimsical world of Goodness Land. Here, you’ll follow the brand’s mascots on their journey through Big Bel Jungle and cross over Milk River to get to Cheesy Castle.
For those familiar with the game, the fundamentals and rules have remained untouched. In fact, Candy Land’s colorful winding roads and bright imagery have all remained, and it only swapped its candy characters in favor of red wheels of cheese.
Regrettably, you won’t find Babybel Goodness Land lining store shelves. Instead, Hasbro and Babybel are giving away 200 copies of the game through a sweepstakes hosted on the Babybel Goodness Land website.
