Shutterstock Debuts ‘Reforestation Collection’ Pics To Grow More Trees In Amazon
Yachak Yerba Mate Energy Tea, in partnership with the stock image library Shutterstock, recently launched a special collection of photographs that will help fund reforestation in the Amazon Forest.
Aptly dubbed the Reforestation Collection, the gallery comprises over 300 pictures captured by photographer Chris Poplawski, who previously took home the grand prize in the Yackak’s Amazon Assignment competition.

Poplawski spent two-and-a-half weeks in the midst of the Amazon with the organization One Tree Planted to document poignant shots of the current reality of the natural landscape. Despite there being more than 8,000 stock pictures of the rainforest, only 393 of them depict deforestation.
As such, Yachak hopes this capsule of photographs will help bring the stark reality of the environment to the forefront. Users can now download these images for use, from which the licensing fees will go towards supporting initiatives led by the non-profit.
