YouTube is set to open up a new realm of creative possibilities with its latest suite of features, which will incorporate artificial intelligence (AI) to fuel the imaginations of creators.
Since the launch of YouTube Shorts in 2020, the platform has seen remarkable growth, with over 70 billion daily views. As such, the site is introducing innovative tools to make expression even more accessible to both amateur filmmakers and professionals.
One of the most intriguing features is Dream Screen, an experimental green screen tool that allows creators to generate AI-powered video or image backgrounds for their Shorts.
All it takes is typing an idea into a prompt, and creators can transport their audience to entirely new settings limited only by their imagination.
Want to film in outer space or explore an enchanted forest? Dream Screen can bring these dreams to life. This feature will undergo testing with select creators before a broader rollout next year.
But it doesn’t stop there. The platform is tapping into the power of generative AI to assist creators in other aspects of content creation and audience analysis.
YouTube Studio, for instance, will provide AI-generated insights to spark video ideas and draft outlines, personalized for each channel based on what audiences are watching.
Creators looking to enhance their content’s global reach will appreciate Aloud, an AI-powered dubbing tool that helps translate content into multiple languages.
This feature enables creators to expand their audience without the need for costly professional dubbing.
Additionally, YouTube is making it easier for creators to find the perfect soundtrack with “Assistive Search in Creator Music.” By describing their content, creators can let AI suggest the right music at the right price.
“The future of creation on YouTube is bright as we start to see how AI-powered tools can help transform people’s dreams into reality,” said Toni Reid, vice president of emerging experiences and community products at YouTube.
“We can’t wait to see what gets Made on YouTube next.”
