‘Iron Man’ & ‘The Mandalorian’ Fuse Into Porcelain & Bronze Battle Helmets
Discommon, an industrial design pioneer, is pushing the boundaries of craftsmanship with its latest project—merging two beloved superhero series, Marvel’s Iron Man and Disney’s The Mandalorian, to create a striking fusion.
The result is a unique sculpture that combines the distinct features of each character’s helmet, crafted at one of China’s oldest porcelain factories.
While the display comes full-sized, the brand cautions against attempting to wear it, stating, “We do NOT recommend putting it on without a nearby hammer to smash it off.”
In the porcelain edition, the creation features a white base adorned with blue artwork that extends across the piece. The t-shaped visor stands out with an all-black finish, adding a touch of intensity to the artwork.
Collectors can get their hands on the helmet through Discommon’s official website, currently retailing at US$750.
However, for those looking for an even more exclusive piece to add to their collections, the label recently announced the upcoming release of a special bronze edition of the helmet.
Limited to only 25 copies, the brand took the original 3D CAD file of the porcelain helmet and used digital sculpting software to add character and surface imperfections that would be accentuated by a patina bronze finish.
Notably, the scar across the eye adds a well-worn aesthetic to the sculpture, giving it an appearance of actually having been used in battle.

To ensure the pattern on the bronze edition truly shines, Discommon raised it a couple of millimeters from the surface.
This technique allows the artisans at the casting facility to apply a black patina to the entire helmet before aggressively polishing the raised surfaces, creating a stunning contrast between the polished bronze and the darkened background.
