Marvel and Christian Louboutin, two heroes in their own right, have assembled for a spectacular celebration marking Disney’s 100th anniversary. The kickass capsule brings forth a dazzling collection of shoes and accessories for men, women, and children that unites craftsmanship and storytelling.

The star, or gem, of the show is Marvel’s set of Infinity Stones, which immediately caught the designer’s eye. They adorn heels and bags for both men and women. Nothing Thanos-sized, however.

Paying homage to Marvel’s legendary characters, Christian Louboutin reimagines some of his design signatures, such as the iconic spike, with a punch. This reinvention includes exquisite finishing touches like the Namor Spikes and bold designs inspired by the enigmatic Moon Knight.

Namor, the first-ever character in the Marvel comics, serves as inspiration for the reinvented Louboutin scales, now transformed into an exclusive fish scale known as ‘Spikes Namor’ to pay homage to the mutant’s underwater realm.

Moon Knight’s mysterious black and silver suit, on the other hand, lends its influence to Christian Louboutin’s audacious styles.

Interestingly, Marvel has woven Louboutin into the comics too, introducing him as a Super Hero. The Infinity Stones play a pivotal role in this special-edition comicbook that narrates a quest led by an Egyptian archaeologist Super Hero, based on the designer and his North African heritage. The adventure unfolds in Egypt and showcases the shoe and accessory collection, alongside beloved Marvel characters like Black Widow, Shuri, the Guardians of the Galaxy, and the Avengers.

Christian Louboutin’s fascination with Marvel runs deep, with the designer stating, “There is something about the Marvel mythology, its chronology and recurring characters going through epic adventures, dramas, and intrigues, all spiced up with superpowers that really resonates with me!”

The tie-in marks a culmination of a friendship that dates back over 25 years between The Walt Disney Company and Christian Louboutin. From creating styles for films like 101 Dalmatians to reinventing Cinderella’s iconic shoe in 2012, this enduring relationship has now blossomed into a full collection for Disney’s 100th-anniversary bash.

The collection made its debut on October 4 in selected Christian Louboutin boutiques worldwide and online. Explore the entire range here.
