For nearly a decade, Bowers & Wilkins has been crafting audio systems for McLaren’s lineup of vehicles, marking a harmonious partnership between design and sound. The latest offspring of this collaboration is the Zeppelin McLaren Edition, a wireless speaker that carries the distinctive signatures of both brands.
One standout feature of the Zeppelin is its unconventional shape, reminiscent of a blimp. It’s offered in two colors: McLaren’s classic Papaya Orange and Galvanic Gray. This choice of color pays homage to the brand’s racing heritage, resulting in a speaker that exudes a unique charm.
On its back is a special Speedy Kiwi logo in tribute to the automaker’s founder, Bruce McLaren.
The Zeppelin McLaren Edition boasts “reference-quality drive unit technologies” in dedicated left and right speaker assemblies. To further enhance the auditory experience, a central subwoofer is included, delivering a room-filling sound that envelops the listening space.
For those with a penchant for collectibles and a special connection to McLaren’s history, the Zeppelin McLaren Edition is a limited offering. Only 60 of these will be produced, marking the 60 years of McLaren’s existence. Exclusive access to the speaker can be found solely at McLaren dealerships.
Available since October 11, the Zeppelin McLaren Edition carries a price tag of US$899.
