Creative agencyTBWA\NEBOKO has joined forces with the Alexander Monro Hospital to develop an innovative initiative called The Breast Cancer Alphabet.
Collaborating on behalf of the Breast Care Foundation, the aim of this campaign is to create awareness and educate the younger generation about breast cancer through a unique series of images.
The Breast Cancer Alphabet consists of 26 animated letters, each representing different factors related to breast cancer. With just a single look, men and women can learn about the various symptoms associated with breast cancer, emphasizing the importance of regular checks for early detection.
According to creatives Hannah Sterke and Nina Mispelblom Beijer, while many people are familiar with the well-known symptom of a lump, they may not be aware of the other factors that should be taken into consideration when keeping an eye out for the illness.
The Breast CancerAlphabetaims to bridge this knowledge gap and provide comprehensive information to help individuals identify potential signs of breast cancer.
To reach a wide audience, the campaign will be prominently displayed on narrowcastings in 600 general practitioner clinics across the Netherlands. Additionally, medical posters featuring The Breast Cancer Alphabet will be distributed to universities and hospitals.
Darre van Dijk, chief creative officer at TBWA\NEBOKO, told The Stable that the series of letters is “an amazing example of how creativity can create awareness for important topics.”
