Adobe Photoshop Elements & Premiere Elements Get Significant Upgrades For 2024
Adobe’s annual update to Photoshop Elements and Premiere Elements has arrived, bringing new features and improvements for design and video editing enthusiasts.
The latest version of Photoshop Elements introduces a new update called “match color and tone.” This feature empowers users to select and fine-tune colors and tones with precision. Additionally, Photo Reels is a new addition that allows users to create reels of their favorite images, complete with text, effects, and graphics.
If you’re looking to just quickly edit your work, the Quick Actions menu provides one-click solutions for tasks such as background blurring, skin smoothing, dehazing, and photo colorization. Photoshop Elements 2024 also boasts 62 Guided Edits, including tutorials like Replace Background and Perfect Landscape to guide users through various creative processes.
The user interface has received a modern facelift with updated fonts, icons, buttons, and colors. Users can also toggle between light and dark modes, providing a personalized touch to their workspace.
Premiere Elements 2024 mirrors its Photoshop counterpart with the addition of “match color and tone” for video. The user interface has been revamped to improve usability, and more Guided Edits are available to assist video editors.
One of the new features is the AI-automated Highlight Reels, which automatically assembles compelling video compilations by focusing on high-quality footage with dynamic motion and close-up shots.
Audio quality in Premiere Elements has been enhanced with upgraded audio effects, including reverb, vocal enhancer, and a “dehummer” tool to reduce unwanted noise.
Both Photoshop Elements and Premiere Elements offer web and mobile companion apps that feature creative overlays, one-click photo enhancements, and seamless syncing of photos and videos across devices.
If you’re interested in upgrading your current arsenal of editing software, Adobe offers Photoshop Elements and Premiere Elements individually at US$99 for new users and US$79 for upgrades. A bundled package, including both applications, is available for US$150 or US$120 for upgraders.
