This time, the trophy case is the result of meticulous craftsmanship by artisans at Louis Vuitton’s historic workshops in Asnières, located just outside Paris.
The exterior of the case is adorned with the brand’s instantly recognizable Monogram canvas, featuring two front panels proudly painted with a V—symbolizing victory and Vuitton—in the colors of the tournament: blue, white, and red.
At the same time, the design stays true to Louis Vuitton’s timeless aesthetic—accented with lozine trimming and boasting the same brass corner protectors, locks, and clasps that have graced the label’s trunks since the 1860s.
Inside the case, a historic first for the Maison’s trophy cases, the interior is lined with leather in the same PANTONE blue shade as the V on its front.
Adding apersonalized touch, the case features the Rugby World Cup France 2023 event mark on the interior of the lid.
“With this new official Trophy Travel Case, Louis Vuitton is both happy and proud to continue its long-time commitment with rugby, highlighting its 160-year tradition of creating remarkable trunks,” said Michael Burke, chairman at Louis Vuitton.
“It is a great opportunity to bring our ‘savoir-faire’ to one of the world’s greatest sporting events, and once again to prove that ‘Victory Travels in Louis Vuitton’.”
