Tom Dixon Creates Portable Versions Of Iconic Lamps That Don’t Require Cords

Designer Tom Dixon, who has launched several iconic lighting displays across his homeware collection throughout the years, recently unveiled rechargeable battery-powered lamps.

The Tom Dixon Portable collection features cordless table-lamp versions of the popular Melt, Bell, and Stone designs, offering a new level of convenience by doing away with pesky cords.

These stylish accessories no longer need to be tethered to a fixed desk or power outlet, lasting up to nine hours of battery on a full charge with the integration of battery power and low-energy LEDs.

This allows homeowners to take the lamps with them anywhere throughout the house—even outdoors—without the usual constraints.

One of the standout offerings in the Portable range is the Melt lamp. This blown-glass design, which first debuted in 2015 through a collaboration with Swedish design studio Front, boasts a distinctively fluid shape.

Available in gold, silver, copper, and black metal, buyers can choose the option that best complements their décor.

Next up is the Bell lamp. Launched in 2013, this light features unique curved mirror surfaces and a pressed steel construction. Like the Melt lamp, the Bell Portable comes in the same four finishes, offering a cohesive aesthetic throughout the home.

Last but not least is the Stone lamp. Crafted from exquisite white Morwad marble, this latest addition adds a touch of elegance to any space. Its minimalistic design allows for the accessory to blend into a variety of interior styles.
