‘AI Shadows’ Web Tool Instantly Adds Some Well-Needed Depth To Objects

Need your products to come out of the shadows and into your customers’ sight? Here’s an instant fix by online photo editor Pixelcut, which has rolled out a new feature called ‘AI Shadows’.

Leveraging artificial intelligence, the feature enhances the visual appeal of e-commerce images by digitally adding realistic shadows.

To kick off the process, users need only upload a product photo. Pixelcut then erases the background and adds a lifelike shadow, which can be positioned to the left, overhead, or to the right of the object to simulate various lighting conditions.

AI Shadows is available through Pixelcut’s Background Remover function and can be accessed directly from a web browser. The feature enhances the realism and depth of product photos, making them more eye-catching for the beholder.

While the basic shadow-adding functionality is free, Pixelcut offers additional capabilities for a fee. Users can manually rotate the shadows to adjust the angle and better match the lighting conditions of the product’s environment.
