Lush’s bath products are eye-catching and fun to activate, making them popular holiday gifts between tree-huggers and beyond. Now, the brand is taking its first dip into the realm of home technology with the Bath Bot.

Designed to resemble Lush’s iconic fizzing orbs, the digital bath bomb—launching just in time for Christmas—is an eco-friendly, completely waterproof gadget that enhances bathing rituals with sensory-rich, audio-visual elements. It integrates a unique domed speaker that delivers 180-degree sound, accompanied by full-spectrum, multidirectional lights.

These features work together to create an “explosion” of an enchanting light show within the bath and bathroom space. The device creates a mesmerizing “audio waterdance” as tiny bubbles fizz across the floating speaker, accompanied by a captivating aquatic lightscape in hues like digital lavender, iced-out pink, luscious red, emerald green, tranquil blue, sundial, and verdigris.

This playful bath bomb is vegan and ethically constructed in the UK without animal-derived glue, making its components ready for disassembly and reassembly for future reuse by the brand. It’s the culmination of half a decade of development by Lush’s in-house technology and digital teams.

The device pairs with the Lush app via Bluetooth and any of Lush’s handmade bath bombs, and caters to individual preferences in sound and light for a personalized daily wellness routine.

Three built-in modes ease you into the evenings, no matter if your plans are keeping you indoors or taking you outside. Sleepy Mode washes over you with soothing lavender hues and sounds; Fun Mode amplifies me-time with “upbeat jams,” bubbles, and bedtime stories; and ‘Rave Mode’ electrifies the experience with lemon-lime lights and high-energy beats to prep you for pregame.

With the addition of playlists from the Lush ‘Bathe’ app feature, users can further tailor their bathing experience to their mood, choosing from a variety of audio-visual experiences or delving into The Lush Sound Bath podcast series. Lush Spa music allows users to recreate the serene spa ambiance in their own bathrooms.

To juice it up for the next bath, users can charge the Bath Bot wirelessly on the accompanying dock.

Jack Constantine, Lush’s chief digital officer, takes pride in this glueless innovation, emphasizing the brand's ethos of creating immersive, handmade products.

“The product is an industry first; there’s nothing else quite like it,” Constantine proclaims.

“At Lush, we believe in making immersive, handmade products, and that same ethos is carried into our first tech product, Bath Bot. With Bath Bot and the Lushapp, our goal is to use tech for good—for unique and sensory-transformational experiences. Unlike other artificial bots that manipulate or frustrate you, Lush Bath Bot is likable and honest”.

The Bath Bot, available in white and black colorways, is available for pre-order through the Lush app.
