Intel Opens AI Company To Meet Rising Demand For Generative Tools

Intel’s got intel for what’s driving the future. The tech corporation has announced the launch of a new company called Articul8, focusing on creating advanced artificial intelligence software that’s secure and efficient.
Articul8 is founded by Intel alongside DigitalBridge—a firm that manages digital assets—and aims to help businesses use AI while keeping their data safe and within their control, with a focus on delivering a full-stack, vertically-optimized, and secure generative artificial intelligence (GenAI) experience. It will offer flexible deployment solutions that can work in the cloud, on-site, or as hybrid models, catering to a diverse range of enterprise needs.
At the helm of Articul8 is Arun Subramaniyan, who transitions from his role as vice president and general manager in Intel’s Data Center and AI Group to CEO of the nascent company.

Articul8 is built on technology and intellectual property from Intel. Its main product is a generative AI software platform that’s meant to be fast, secure, and cost-effective for businesses looking to use AI effectively. Though initially made for Intel’s hardware, it plans to support other systems too.
DigitalBridge is the main investor in Articul8, with Intel and other venture investors also having a stake.
Marc Ganzi, the CEO of DigitalBridge, expresses that many companies worldwide are trying to integrate GenAI into their work processes, and he believes that Articul8’s platform will make it easier for these companies to benefit from their own data.
“Every global enterprise today is challenged to integrate GenAI capabilities into their workflows,” Ganzi shares. “Articul8 has built a scalable and easy-to-deploy GenAI software platform that is already enabling enterprises to unlock value from their proprietary data. We see GenAI as a pivotal force driving digital infrastructure, and we are pleased to collaborate with Intel to support Articul8’s growth.”
In conversation with Reuters, Subramaniyan emphasizes the gap in the current GenAI landscape, noting that while building a proof of concept is straightforward, the real challenge lies in implementing these concepts in a secure, cost-effective, and scalable manner.
The first to use the technology is Boston Consulting Group (BCG), proving it can be scaled and work well for big customers, especially in areas where security and specialized knowledge are crucial.
As an independent company with strong backing from Intel and others, Articul8 is looking to speed up how it brings its products to the market and enhance its offerings in the GenAI field.
