McDonald’s is turning on the beef and sending fans on a deliciously nostalgic, albeit adrenaline-pumping, ride in its latest caper. It turns out the Hamburglar has crept out of retirement from his crime-filled days, and the bandit is back to his burger-lifting antics again now that the company has enhanced its recipes to be saucier and juicier.

This time, the mischievous mascot has scaled up with a new accomplice in tow to pull off what the chain has hailed as the “ultimate burger-stealing heist.” He’s now at work behind the wheel of the ‘Burgercuda’, a custom 1970 Plymouth Barracuda that’s a rolling embodiment of the Hamburglar himself—with its black-and-white striped paint job, hamburger hubcaps, and a cheeseburger for a spare tire. Could fast food BE any faster?

The Burgercuda, with its detailed theming, includes a hidden burger warmer to keep its owner’s haul in prime condition. The vehicle’s license plate and hood scoop also sport his signature “RBL RBL” catchphrase, marking his presence as he goes on his pilfering mission from coast to coast.

And here’s the juicy part: you could land a year’s supply of McDonald’s burgers if you help catch him.

The Golden Arches is inviting patrons to join the chase by keeping an eye out for the Hamburglar and his unmistakable getaway car. If they spot the hungry thief, they are urged to scan the car’s code to score an Arch Card and Hamburglar-themed swag.

He’s one sneaky culprit, so for those who might not catch a glimpse of the elusive character, there’s still a chance to get your hands on free McDonald’s burgers for a full year by visiting SpotHamburglar.com. That’s right—you could inherit the mother lode, while the Hamburglar gets nothing!

Running until February 25, 2024, the burger bounty is open to fast-food enthusiasts in America ages 16 and older. So, if you’re on the prowl for a bite, see if you possess the stealth to outwit this masked professional.
