Wine brand 19 Crimes is uncorking conventions about love with a bold Valentine’s Day bottle, acknowledging that three’s not always a crowd.
The company has concocted a bottle designed with “throuples” in mind, challenging the traditional duo-dominated narrative of romantic celebrations.
The idea started to brew following insights that a notable portion of younger generations views monogamy through a different lens. 19 Crimes’ research suggests that one in five Gen Z and millennials consider monogamy outdated, and two in five expressing openness to polyamorous relationships.

Enter the Throuple bottle, a 1,125ml vessel designed to bridge the gap between a standard bottle (750ml) and a magnum (1.5 liters). This fruity prototype ensures that everyone in a three-sided relationship can enjoy an equal share of the wine, with three 125ml glasses per person.
It's a thoughtful nod to those celebrating love in groups of three, making no one feel left out of the Valentine’s Day cheers.

Unfortunately, those eager to clink glasses with the throuple-sized portion this Valentine's Day will have to pause their plans. The unique bottle won’t be hitting the retail shelves just yet, as size regulations prohibit it from doing so. With that, 19 Crimes is hopeful that a future release will be possible.
In the meantime, the wine brand isn’t leaving anyone high and dry—whether you dine in a duo or find traditional romances a bit too narrow for your taste. 19 Crimes has rolled out a limited-edition Heart label across their existing wine range, available in leading supermarkets in the UK, ensuring that love in all its forms is celebrated this February.
