‘Winnie The Pooh’ Horror Filmmakers Unveil Anti-Disney Cinematic Universe

A new cinematic universe is taking shape, but tread with caution—it’s not your typical superhero fare. Jagged Edge Productions, the studio behind the shocking indie slasher Winnie the Pooh: Blood and Honey, is conjuring the Poohniverse. Here, nostalgic characters long co-opted by Disney like Bambi, Tinkerbell, Pinocchio, Peter Pan, and even the Mad Hatter transform from friendly faces into bloodthirsty fiends.
Far from being a playful romp through the Hundred Acre Wood, the Poohniverse presents a chilling saga with familiar antiheroes uniting for a Poohniverse: Monsters Assemble film slated for 2025, expanding from the twisted tale of Pooh and Piglet facing abandonment from Christopher Robin and turning feral. On that note, Winnie-the-Pooh: Blood and Honey 2 is heading to theaters this March.

Changing his stripes is Tigger, who is also getting a horror makeover with a standalone movie capitalizing on his recent public domain transition in 2024.
