Taylor Swift Is A Walking ‘Tortured Poet’ With Album-Inspired Dress

’Cause, darling, she’s a tortured poet dressed like a daydream. Taylor Swift’s Eras Tour continues to be a revelation, not just musically but visually as well. During her recent Paris stop on the European leg of the tour, the pop sensation unveiled a collection of new outfits, including one inspired by The Tortured Poets Department.
The centerpiece of the show was arguably the white dress for the Tortured Poets Department set. The visually striking, custom creation comes from Vivienne Westwood, and features a structured bodice and a voluminous skirt made of white taffeta, resembling crumpled, open pages.

The true page-turner is the all-over print scribbled with lyrics from Swift’s own songs, including the poignant I love you, it’s ruining my life.

The fashion statement, with its gothic undertones, is symbolic, hinting at the raw emotional depth and darker themes present in The Tortured Poets Department.
It turns out, 16 years after Love Story, Swift has picked out a white dress, but this number wasn’t the only surprise. She also treated fans to a complete wardrobe refresh, showcasing a variety of outfits inspired by each musical era.
The singer kicked off her Lover set in a vibrant orange bodysuit, before transitioning into the Fearless era with a brand new silver and black fringe dress. The Folklore era saw her grace the stage in a flowing yellow dress, while the 1989 set featured a playful pink and green two-piece.
