LEGO is taking fans on a journey to the dark side with its latest release: the LEGO Icons The Lord of the Rings: Barad-Dûr set. This formidable masterpiece, created in collaboration with Warner Bros, captures the sinister grandeur of Mordor’s dark tower and the iconic Eye of Sauron in breathtaking detail.

With a staggering 5,471 pieces, the set promises hours of focus with its intricate features and beloved characters from the acclaimed film trilogy. Adventurers will find a throne room with a hidden map compartment and a top-floor ladder that shifts left and right. At the summit, the Eye of Sauron rotates and lights up, adding a menacing glow to the structure.

This set includes 10 minifigures, showcasing characters such as Sauron, Mouth of Sauron, Orc, Frodo, Sam, Gollum, and Gothmog. The LEGO Icons The Lord of the Rings: Barad-Dûr set will be available to LEGO Insiders starting June 1, 2024, and to the general public from June 4, both online and in LEGO Stores, priced at US$459.99. As a special treat, fans who purchase the set between June 1 and 7 will receive a complimentary The Lord of the Rings: Fell Beast set, featuring posable wings, joints, and a Nazgul minifigure.
