Tesla Cybertruck, Now A Police Car, Might Be Its Most Arresting Incarnation Yet

The Tesla Cybertruck, with its sharp angles and stainless steel exoskeleton, has cuffed people’s attention since its debut. Electric vehicle specialist Unplugged Performance now takes this monster of a concept further, envisioning it as a formidable police cruiser.
This is not an official Tesla project, but rather a glimpse into the possibilities. Unplugged Performance, known for its UP.Fit line of police vehicle modifications for Teslas, has outfitted a Cybertruck with the visual hallmarks of a law enforcement vehicle. Its UP.Fit police kit adds a sleek black and white wrap, complete with emergency lights mounted on the roof and sides.
Admittedly, the Cybertruck’s imposing design translates well to a police vehicle, projecting an image of authority and power. Its spacious cabin offers ample room for essential police equipment, while the potential for additional bullet-resistant armoring could further enhance its suitability for patrol duty.
The pickup’s performance capabilities are another major advantage. With neck-snapping acceleration and impressive handling, the electric pickup could be a handy aide in high-speed pursuits. The standard Dual Motor all-wheel-drive version throws down a staggering 600 horsepower and can launch from zero to 60 mph in a mere 4.1 seconds. That’s quicker than most sports cars, never mind police cruisers. Criminals are sure to find themselves in a sticky situation if they try to outrun this cop car.
Unplugged Performance, however, isn’t just interested in serving justice, it wants to serve it with extreme prejudice. Its concept envisions incorporating the tri-motor Cybertruck variant, nicknamed the ‘Cyberbeast’. This powerhouse packs an incredible 834 horsepower, slicing the zero to 60 mph sprint time to a mind-blowing 2.6 seconds. Talk about a quick citation!
However, concerns may remain about the Cybertruck’s range on a single charge. The Dual Motor version offers an estimated range of 340 miles, which might be sufficient for patrolling duties in most jurisdictions. The Cyberbeast’s range figures haven’t been officially revealed yet, but it’s likely to be lower due to its extra power. Patrolling for extended periods or engaging in lengthy chases could necessitate strategic recharging or the development of faster-charging infrastructure.
Also, unless this Cybertruck assumes the superpower of invisibility, it’s likely criminals will spot it from a mile away.
