At Mattel, Kenergy continues to pour like kegs of burly beer over an off-road vehicle running on steel spikes, with the company soon releasing a new collectible that flips the script on the traditional Barbie DreamHouse. The Mini Mojo Dojo Casa House, inspired by Greta Gerwig’s live-action Barbie film, is a miniature replica of Ken’s self-improvement haven from the movie, complete with a tiny denim-clad Ken doll and fittingly kitschy furniture.

When Ken assumes control of the DreamHouse, chaos ensues. BarbieLand becomes Kendom, and the once-pink abode undergoes a radical transformation into a hyper-masculine “man cave.”
The Mini Mojo Dojo Casa House mirrors this upheaval, swapping the DreamHouse’s elegant pink doors for batwing saloon doors. The clash of decor elements in this house-flipping—think horses splashed across a flat-screen television, camouflage beach umbrella, and ‘Kendom’ sign—sets the stage for the impending clash between Barbie and Ken.

The tiny abode retains its original pink exterior, but the interior is decidedly, well, just Ken. A miniature, “Ken-chosen” baseball mitt chair, a guitar, a telescope, and even a stack of three mini-fridges furnish the space. Sublime, as the character would exclaim.

Debuting officially at San Diego Comic-Con in July 2023, the Mini Mojo Dojo Casa will gallop into the Mattel Creations website for US$50. For now, Barbie’s DreamHouse playset mirroring the crib from the flick remains untouched, and it’ll also set you back US$50.
