Official Keith Haring Pop-Up Book Lets You Enjoy His Art In New Eye-Popping Ways

The world of Keith Haring, beloved for its bold lines, radiant colors, and instantly recognizable figures, bursts into life in a new dimension with the Keith Haring Pop-Up Book. This officially licensed collaboration between artist Keith Haring and Poposition Press brings the artist’s most iconic works to life in a stunning display of pop-up engineering.

The art book features eight spreads, with six intricate pop-up scenes. Each spread unfolds to reveal a different piece of Haring’s art in three-dimensional form, from the playful lines of his Dog to the powerful message of Silence=Death. There’s also Sculptures, The Marriage of Heaven and Hell, Pop Shop Grid, and Houston Street Mural.

The new perspectives are crafted by paper engineer Simon Arizpe, ensuring each page pops with vibrancy and stays true to the vision of Haring’s street art.

Beyond the pop-ups themselves, the book, priced at US$60, offers a delightful exploration of Haring’s work. Short descriptions accompany each piece, providing context and insight into his creative process and the messages he aimed to convey. This makes the Keith Haring Pop-Up Book a great introduction to Haring's art for all ages, from those already familiar with his work to those encountering it for the first time.

For a truly special presentation, collectors can opt for the Altarpiece Edition (US$350), which is fronted by a silver foil stamped cover and comes housed in a laser-etched wooden case, reminiscent of an altarpiece, and includes a heartfelt Love greeting card. The case itself is a work of art, featuring screen-printed text on the interior panels and a velvet-lined inner section that cradles the pop-up book and an additional Once Upon A Time… accordion book depicting Haring’s iconic NYC LGBTQ Center mural.
