Knoll is injecting a splash of color into the legacy of Bauhaus. As the revolutionary art movement celebrates its 100th anniversary, this renowned furniture manufacturer is paying tribute to two of its biggest names: Marcel Breuer and Ludwig Mies van der Rohe.

Breuer, a young gun at Bauhaus, championed the era’s philosophy of marrying art and industry. His Wassily Chair, named after fellow member Wassily Kandinsky, is a modernist masterpiece, crafted from tubular steel with cutting-edge techniques. Knoll, after acquiring the Gavina Group in 1968, continues to produce the Wassily Chair, alongside Breuer’s equally iconic Laccio Tables and Cesca Chairs.

To celebrate the Bauhaus centenary, Knoll has given these classics a bold refresh. The Wassily Chair, Cesca Chairs & Stools, Laccio Tables, MR Chairs, and MR Table have all been reimagined in a spectrum of ultra-matte colors, including dark red, white, and black.
