Casio x NASA Launch G-SHOCK Watch You Could Carry To Space, If You Wanted To

Time flies when you’ve got new frontiers to explore—and for Casio, it’s been 50 speedy years of innovation in watchmaking. To commemorate its golden anniversary, the brand has released a timepiece, dubbed the GW6900NASA24-1, in collaboration with NASA.
This model is a tribute to Casio’s rich heritage in electronics, cleverly referencing its iconic calculators in appearance. Vibrant red, yellow, and blue accents around the dial mirror the classic calculator buttons.
If NASA-approved G-SHOCK watches ring a bell for you, don’t worry, you’re not crazy. The model marks the fifth installment in Casio’s line of space agency-themed watches. To that end, unlike many space-themed horological items, the GW6900NASA24-1 is actually built to endure the unpredictabilities of space travel, thanks to its shock-resistant structure. Naturally, that means it can also handle the bumps and knocks of everyday wear and workouts.

Interestingly, the watch’s case back features a unique detail: the equation for “impact” etched onto the surface. This subtle engraving serves as a reminder of the powerful forces that shape our universe.

Adding another layer of intrigue, the watch face illuminates to reveal the equation for “gravity” when activated—a fitting tribute to the fundamental force that governs celestial bodies.
Beyond its commemorative design, the GW6900NASA24-1 features Casio’s signature shock-resistant structure and can withstand up to 200 meters of water pressure. Solar charging ensures the watch never runs out of power, while Multi-Band 6 Atomic Timekeeping guarantees exceptional accuracy. Additional features include a countdown timer, stopwatch, world time display, and multi-alarm functionality.
