FIFA Sets The Ball Rolling For 2025 Club World Cup With Inaugural Logo Design

FIFA is kicking off a new era with a fresh look and a whole lot more competition. It has revealed the official emblem for the upcoming 2025 FIFA Club World Cup, marking a milestone for club soccer as the tournament expands to include 32 teams for the first time. Set to take place in the US from June 15 to July 13, 2025, this new format promises to be the “most inclusive” club competition in soccer history, with teams from six continental confederations battling it out for the title of world champion.

The logo, which will be used in future editions of the tournament, takes inspiration from the sport’s history and culture. The initials ‘CWC’ are abstracted into a circular design that leaves a central space to feature the crests of participating teams. The minimalist style aims to reflect the tournament’s global nature while keeping the focus on the clubs competing from each confederation—AFC, CAF, Concacaf, CONMEBOL, OFC, and UEFA.

This expansion represents a major evolution for the Club World Cup, offering 32 teams a chance to showcase their skills on a global stage. With representatives from every corner of the world, FIFA hopes to create a more inclusive and competitive environment that will define how the best club in the world is determined.

FIFA has also selected the song Freed from Desire by Italian singer Gala as the official anthem for the Club World Cup. The popular track, a familiar tune in soccer stadiums around the globe, will serve as the soundtrack to this event.

“32 of the best clubs from all corners of the world will be competing in the United States in June and July 2025. They are at the heart of the tournament. And we cannot wait,” shares FIFA president Gianni Infantino. “So we want you—the fans from across the world—to share your club stories, to bring your love, your passion, your support; to show what your club is made of, and take it to the world.”
