Visual trends are taking a walk on the wild side for 2025, as Depositphotos projects a  landscape where chaos meets harmony. In the latest of its annual forecasts, Creative Trends 2025: Elevated Perspectives, the stock platform paints a picture of a creative world in flux, where distinct eras and movements coexist and even collide.

After culling search trends from over 41 million clients, alongside a library of more than 300 million assets, Depositphotos identified key movements to provide a complete picture of what lies ahead, offering brands and content creators fresh insights into how to better engage audiences.

The trends for 2025 have been grouped into seven main categories: The New Contemporary, Cluttercore, Getting Sentimental, AI-Fueled Art, Crafted Harmony, Embracing the Dark, and Look from Above.

High-tech, contemporary art is set to blend with the ancient simplicity of Wabi-Sabi. Noir-inspired storytelling will run parallel to hypersentimentalism, with its light and warm depictions of everyday life. Meanwhile, TikTok’s influence will continue to spread, ushering in a “friendly chaos” aesthetic, and advances in AI will blur the lines between fantasy and reality.

“Our goal is to inspire confidence in the future, empowering brands to stand out in an ever-competitive market and focus on what matters most: creativity,” shares Maria Sibirtseva, head of content marketing at Depositphotos. "”his year, we've highlighted seven diverse trends, from the revival of ancient or iconic styles—like Wabi-Sabi or 90s grunge—to innovative aesthetics driven by generative tools. Together with industry experts, we explored how businesses can adapt to the shifting creative landscape, apply trends authentically without conflicting with their brand DNA, build emotional connections with their audience, and leverage these trends meaningfully in both B2C and B2B settings.”

Ultimately, 2025 will see creators attempting to piece together these contrasting styles from a broader, almost panoramic perspective. Explore all seven trends below, and read the full report here.
