Doraemon is taking a trip to the Louvre in Paris, and he’s bringing his signature pocket of surprises along for the ride. UNIQLO has announced a fresh addition to its UT collection, marrying the playful charm of Japan’s most famous robotic cat with the timelessness of the world’s most visited museum. The collaboration delivers a series of graphic T-shirts that reinterpret classical art with a nostalgic, animated twist.

The Doraemon Meets the Louvre series introduces four tee designs that place Doraemon and his best friend, Nobita, alongside some of the Louvre’s most recognizable masterpieces.

One T-shirt, for example, portrays the duo standing in front of Leonardo da Vinci’s Mona Lisa, taking in the mysteries of this enigmatic portrait.

Another cheeky piece reimagines Johannes Vermeer’s The Astronomer, swapping the original subject for Doraemon himself.

You will also find Doraemon as a sculptor, carving characters to accompany the famed Winged Victory of Samothrace.

The fourth and final artwork showcases a nighttime view of the Louvre, with Doraemon and Nobita silhouetted against the starlit sky, capturing both the Musée du Louvre’s grandeur and the limitless imagination of the beloved character. An embroidered patch sees the robotic cat peeking out of the landmark’s architecture.

Set for release in late May 2025, the unisex collection aims to bridge generations of art lovers and anime fans alike by inviting them to engage with classical works in a new and playful way. Each T-shirt will retail for US$24.90.
